What we've been up to

I haven't been the best blogger, we are busy busy busy! So I'm just gonna post lots of pics from the past weeks so you all can know what we are up to :-)

Took Easton on Halloween to my sisters classroom where he got so much attention from all the kids (she teaches 3/4 grade) he loved every minute of this.

Texas

We had the best time in Texas visiting my mom and step dad. I didn't want to leave! (Although we did miss Justin of course)...I wish I would've taken more pics but I was just enjoying relaxing too much! Nice to have my mom with me all day to help with Easton, I got to sleep in and take naps and my body feels totally recovered now, thank God!

Highlights of the trip:
*Cut 7 inches off my hair, I love it! ( I actually blow dry it and style it now!)
*Went to the Texans game with Eric in the Waste Connections suite, it was amazing and so fun! I LOVE football!
*Early morning walks in the cool breeze (it was HOT in the afternoons!)
*Texas hospitality is REAL! They are so nice there, the waiters, the security at the airport, just everyone is nicer there!
*Being called Ma'am alot, kinda weird but kinda loved it
*Shopping spree, my mom spoiled me!!!
*Easton is now almost walking, he holds just one hand...anyday now he'll be on the move
*The flight there- the middle seat was empty and the guy sitting in the aisle read books to Easton and was so sweet! Also there was a high schools softball team sitting all around us and Easton LOVED these girls and flirted with them. They took him so I could go to the bathroom and kept him for about 30 mins and played with him. He loved showing the new things he's learned like touching his nose :-)
*Seeing all the Mansions and beautiful homes there, everything IS bigger in Texas!
*Coffee- my parents have a fancy coffee maker and it truly is the best coffee ever!
*Spending so much time with my parents, my heart ached leaving them

Obsessed with this coffee maker!
 Gram and Easton snuggling
HUGE mansion, couldn't even fit it all in the pic!
Another one... they are neighborhoods and neighborhoods of Mansions, no joke they are everywhere!
 Texans Game
 Papa and E
 Dream home, so gorg!
Me and E napping, I friggin love this guy!

Trying to recover!

So the past few weeks I have had super low energy and just haven't felt that great at all. Easton was sick so I thought maybe I had that too. But I just haven't been feeling better and it was frustrating to me because I love being out and about and doing things!

Sunday night I went to bed and woke up just after midnight with the WORST stomach ache and burning pain EVER! I woke up the boys and we went to the ER. Turned out I have gallstones and passed one and got a mild case of pancreatitis.  IT HURT SO BAD! So they admitted me and Tuesday morning I had my gall bladder removed and was home by Tuesday night. It  was so hard being away from my baby (He did visit twice Monday, but a one year old in a hospital room is kinda a nightmare!) and I was in pain and miserable but I am home now and thankful it all went smooth and am on the road to recovery! I am glad to know why I have been feeling so bad and glad it's taken care of! It's so much harder and BEYOND scary going into surgery being a mom of a baby, so much harder than I could have ever imagined and I PRAY AND HOPE I never have to do that again!

Thanks for all the well wishes friends!

XO

2 years

Tomorrow is our 2 year anniversary! Happy day to us!

“Only once in your life, I truly believe, you find someone who can completely turn your world around. You tell them things that you’ve never shared with another soul and they absorb everything you say and actually want to hear more. You share hopes for the future, dreams that will never come true, goals that were never achieved and the many disappointments life has thrown at you. When something wonderful happens, you can’t wait to tell them about it, knowing they will share in your excitement. They are not embarrassed to cry with you when you are hurting or laugh with you when you make a fool of yourself. Never do they hurt your feelings or make you feel like you are not good enough, but rather they build you up and show you the things about yourself that make you special and even beautiful. There is never any pressure, jealousy or competition but only a quiet calmness when they are around. You can be yourself
and not worry about what they will think of you because they love you for who you are. The things that seem insignificant to most people such as a note, song or walk become invaluable treasures kept safe in your heart to cherish forever. Memories of your childhood come back and are so clear and vivid it’s like being young again. Colours seem brighter and more brilliant. Laughter seems part of daily life where before it was infrequent or didn’t exist at all. A phone call or two during the day helps to get you through a long day’s work and always brings a smile to your face. In their presence, there’s no need for continuous conversation, but you find you’re quite content in just having them nearby. Things that never interested you before become fascinating because you know they are important to this person who is so special to you. You think of this person on every occasion and in everything you do. Simple things bring them to mind like a pale blue sky, gentle wind or even a storm cloud on the horizon. You open your heart knowing that there’s a chance it may be broken one day and in opening your heart, you experience a love and joy that you never dreamed possible. You find that being vulnerable is the only way to allow your heart to feel true pleasure that’s so real it scares you. You find strength in knowing you have a true friend and possibly a soul mate who will remain loyal to the end. Life seems completely different, exciting and worthwhile. Your only hope and security is in knowing that they are a part of your life.”

Birthday party (parties)!!!

Since the Eagles (Justin's favorite team) were playing Sunday night football and we love everything about football season we decided to do a football theme party! Pizza, Cake, Beer (champagne for me) and Football. Seemed like the perfect 1st Birthday party/Sunday night get together. We had about 15 people over and it was super fun! I wish I would've taken more pictures of our guests but I was too busy having fun to get many pictures of course.

I am so beyond thankful for everyone who sent cards, gifts, messages, emails to wish Easton a Happy Birthday! Feeling very grateful for our life and everyone in it! Sometimes I don't know how I got so lucky and I am not sure if I deserve this all but I will happily take it!

Did anyone else feel super emotional on their kids 1st Birthday?!?!? I felt to happy and excited but also kinda on the verge of (happy) tears all day. I don't know what it is but I am so in love with this little guy it just makes me so happy that he is happy and life is good.

Monday I invited all my mommy friends who don't work, or work part time etc.. over for a little lunch, cupcakes and playdate! Although a few had to cancel we still had such a great time!

I LOVE this picture!
