8 months

Well Easton rang in 8 months yesterday being a little sick for the first time! Nothing too bad but a little fever and crankiness though. I had a few hours where he was feeling good enough for some pictures though.
Here is where we are at 8 months:
*No sign of crawling or interest in it, but that's totally ok by me!
*Loves to give High 5's to anyone that puts there hand up for one!
*Eating 3 meals a day and seems to really like food! (Still breastfeeding lots though too)
*Loves to drink water, LOVES IT! Hasn't figured out a sippy cup but we are working on that....he likes to drink out of regular cups though
*Sleeping from 7:30pm-5am then I nurse him and back to sleep til 6:30 or 7am ......every night! Happy mama I am feeling less like a zombie now! Morning nap and afternoon naps too, he loves his sleep!
*LOVES toys and banging 2 toys together, making noises, rambling and trying to talk to us, jumping, standing and I can sit him down in front of toys and he'll entertain himself for an hour or so.

He is just a super happy guy and seems to be just loving life!

Quick Seattle Trip

So one of my friends who lives in Minnesota (Chrissy) was going to be in Seattle for a few days and asked me to come up and see her. I'm so glad she did I haven't been up there in almost 2 years! It was a quick day and a half trip but I got to see lots of friends and babies!

I drove up Wednesday late morning when it was Easton's nap time and went to my Friend Tiffany's gorgeous new home! Easton played wither her kiddos and we stayed the night there and had tons of fun! It was especially nice after the kids went to bed and we could sit and really talk with some wine in hand! Sarah rode the ferry over and had a slumber party with us! So great seeing both of them, seeing Tiff's new home and her sweet sweet kiddos that played with Easton, shared their toys with him and made him laugh!

Then Thursday morning Sarah and I headed into the city and I dropped her off. I went to meet up with Chrissy and her friend Tonya! We visited, went to lunch at Purple and walked down to Pike place market and luckily the sun cam out and it ended up being a perfect afternoon!
Here is Easton with Chrissy, meeting her for the first time!
 Tonya and Chrissy holding Easton
 Morgan Wine? I think so!

Then after an afternoon nap for E, we headed over to Katy's house to have dinner and hang with her and her darling daughters. She had Sayde 2 days before Easton so Katy and I talked lots during our pregnancies and were excited to finally get these 2 together for their first date! Baby Girl was teething and not too happy but I think they still had some fun!

I got Easton all ready for bed and headed home, leaving Seattle at about 7:15 pm. I wasn't sure how this would go but I am SO happy I drove home that night! Easton was ready for bed and he slept the ENTIRE car ride home, never making a peep. I got home about 10:30pm. Knowing that Friday was the day before memorial day weekend I just knew it would be a crazy day to be driving so it turned out perfect!

Such a fun quick trip with friends, thanks girls for all the hospitality! I'm so glad I went on this adventure, I need to do more things like that!

Rocking Horse...I mean Elephant

He loves this thing!

Auntie Ryann's house

My sister moved into a gorgeous new house this last weekend and we went to help unpack. She got a few (many) things for Easton so he has a drawer of toys, treats and a chair at her house. I conclude that this mean she wants to babysit a lot this summer when she's not working :-) Yaaa for that!

He was loving the chair then got a little scared ?!?!
New toys= fun for at least a few hours!

Such a lucky guy to have an Auntie that loves him so much! I will love to see their relationship bloom over the years!

Stroller Strides

I am loving my stroller workout class and got my friend Kat to go with me! I have just been going on Fridays and when the weather is nice its fun to stay after and sit in the sun. Here is Kat's son- who is 11 months and Easton hanging out after class......

Easton teething on Becker's sweatshirt

Yes they are the same size and Easton is 3 1/2 months younger!

Being Outside

After being pregnant last year and literally HATING being outside all summer it's so nice to NOT be pregnant and actually enjoy sitting outside again! These past few weeks I have been laying out during afternoon nap even!
For mothers day my sweet Mom gave me money and told me to go buy something for myself. So I got these new chair cushions from Pier 1 for my outside table and this new pot with plant. Now who's coming over to sit outside and have a glass of wine with me?

Fun w/ new camera

Some shots from the past few days

"Dad, where is me teething ring, I am so confused?"
He loves this annoying hippo popping ball game!
So pissed that he fell I had to take some photos of it though....
 This boy loves his dog
This bird nest above out entryway, we tried to hose it down a few times a day but they just kept re-building so we gave in and let them. I think there my be eggs in there now!

Bear Rug

So my hubs went hunting last March and got a black bear up in Canada. He was so happy about it and although I TOTALLY don't' get why anyone would ever think Hunting is fun I was happy to see him to happy!

He told me we would be getting a bear rug in about a year...I have been in TOTAL denial that this thing would ever come. Well guess what showed up in the mail yesterday??? OMG I am so grossed out and scared of this thing I have been on the verge of tears that my husband wants this INSIDE our house. I thought the garage would be a perfect spot but he couldn't disagree more. So we are in talks about where this thing will go so stay tuned.... here are some pics!
Easton seems to like it though....

Oh did I mention the skull also came?!?! Oh Joy!
But my massage therapist last night reminded me that if this is the biggest worry in my life I have it pretty damn good , and she's right! But still somebody feel bad for me please!!!!

Mother's Day

I now have a new favorite Holiday! Yesterday was so awesome! I got spoiled like it was my birthday, but Justin will never have to work on Mother's day and I get totally appreciated for being a good mom!

Hubs bought me a fancy new camera- a cannon Rebel DSLR. I love it and we charged it up and went to the Zoo to take Easton there for the first time. It was a great place to go to try it out!

 Love this profile pic

Easton loved the goats so much he was laughing hysterically at them and loved to pet them. It was the cutest thing we had ever seen!
Loves to ride on dads shoulders

After the Zoo we came home and napped while Justin cleaned :-) Then we headed to one of the best restaurants in Portland- RingSide Steakhouse for an amazing dinner. It was such a wonderful day!

Being a mom is the best thing that has ever happened to me! I love every second of being a mom and I can't thank my hubs enough for our amazing life together.

And I can't even talk about Mothers day without mentioning my AWESOME Mom Jeanne. She truly is such a great mom, I have so much love and respect for her and how she raised my sister, step sister and I that I hope Easton feels the same about me one day. She truly is my #1 supporter, an amazing advice giver and she always is there to listen to me and has showed me what unconditional love is. I love you Mama!

Here we are in Costa Rica together, what a fun trip this was!!! I look forward to many more memories with you Mom!
