6 months

Easton is 6 months today! I feel like I should celebrate with a big glass of wine and some cake, no?!?! Isn't it an accomplishment for me too, I'm still alive and totally happy and haven't had a good night sleep since I was pregnant! Okay enough about me, it's Eastons day not mine....

Easton loves.....
*Peekaboo when I hide behind my hair
*Pretty much everything his dad does
*Baths, now that he takes them in the big tub with his dad, has toys to play with in there and splashes around lots
*Sitting up. Must. always. be sitting up...
*Some new toys that he recently got from his grandparents, he can sit up and play with them and they make lots of noise
*Sweet potatoes. We have tried pears, bananas and zucchini but doesn't care for anything but sweet potatoes so far
*The ktm binky- he is teething so hard and it really seems to help!
*His jumperoo and the johnny jump up.

Stats:
17lbs 7oz, 50th percentile
27.5 inches, 85th percentile
And his head is still 97th percentile!

 Sporting his dad's company Shirt!

This kid loves Toys that make noise
This is mackie's position when we are in Easton's room, he is not allowed in but just lays in the doorway....

You know how all parents say "enjoy it, it all goes by so fast" Well it does because they sleep so much, duh! Easton is in bed from 7pm-8am and takes 2 naps. Luckily I get to be with him all the time but for his dad who only gets to see him a few hours a day I get it now. I'm so glad I get to be at home with him and truly get to enjoy every second.
LOVE YOU EASTON!

Playdate

My sweet friend Erin had us over yesterday for some playtime (and wine)! It was wonderful. Her daughter was born 11 days after Easton so we have been getting together regularly throughout our pregnancies and since they were born. Today was fun because they actually can both sit up and they notice each other! They spent lots of time staring at each other, then tried to play and teeth on each others arms, ha! here are photos!

Yes I am aware Easton doesnt have socks on, he had a blowout at the car dealership before hand and his socks did NOT make it out clean!
 He is going after her!

Fun times Erin, lets do it again please!!!

Sitting up (almost)....

This is what you do to entertain yourself when you have girlfriends in town on a Friday afternoon and you've already finished a bottle of wine by 4pm :-)

Such a great weekend with Gretchen and Sarah here! Fay came and met up with us too. We went to Departure Friday night and had a late dinner and lots of wine.

Then Saturday we had Sarah try on wedding dresses (everything looked amazing on her) then went and had lunch at Fay's house. Saturday night we stayed in and played with Easton and looked at wedding dresses and venues for Sarah on the Internet....Here is what it looked like
We drank wine and ate too much cheese, salad and steak
Sarah with Easton! Its so fun to have your friends meet your child, I loved it! (Yes I know his bib is gross, he is a total spit up drool factory lately, I usually go through 2-3 bibs per day, UGH!)
Gretchen loving on Easton
My little Irish boy, he is 1/8 Irish! He got lots of kisses from girls on his first St. Patricks day!
I miss my girls already. Its so awesome having those 2 in my life. They are true friends I can talk to about anything, say anything to and know they won't judge. Miss you girls, let do this again SOON!

Girlfriends coming to Visit!

As I said on facebook the other day I have the Post Vacation blues...you know when you're home and back in your routine and missing the fun, sunny weather and all that relaxing on your trip? Well the good news is it's not lasting long because two of my favorite people and BFF's are coming to to stay with me and meet Easton this weekend! I couldn't be more excited to see them, catch up and for them to meet my son! I thought I'd write a little about each and show some old pictures!

Gretchen. This Picture pretty much sums up her goofiness and the fact she never cares what anyone thinks, I LOVE that about her! She doesn't give a damn and will do what she wants. This is tailgating before the rose bowl....

Gretchen and I haven't lived int he same town since College, 2001 but its like our friendship hasn't skipped a beat. We spent two summers in College living and working together as interns (in Vegas at the Venetian and in Couer d'Alene at the Resort) and I think that forever bonded us. I can say ANYTHING to Gretchen and she never judges, she's always there to chat with me and she is hilarious and fun! Just a truly beautiful person on the inside and out! Here we are....

Sarah. She is one of those people that is so pretty when you first meet her you kinda want to hate her and assume she must be a cocky bitch. But she is honestly one of the nicest and genuine people I know, I love tath about her! I literally dont' think she ever has a bad thing to say about anyone!

We haven't lived in the same town since College, 2000. She graduated end of my Junior year and its awesome that our friendship is still so strong. We were always roommates in Pi Phis because we were best friends and both a little messy! In fact we spent so much time together in College we made up a name for ourselves (Smores) and even dressed up as Romy and Michelle for Halloween one year. I can honestly say most of the time I spent laughing in College was with Sarah by my side. This girl is FUN! And she is beyond sweet and I know she is always there for me.

Gretchen now lives in Tri Cities and is a successful banquet manager at a winery. I can only imagine she runs that place. And Sarah is an amazing hair stylist and owns her own Salon in Seattle, and recently got engaged to I cannot wait to hear all about wedding stuff!

CANNOT wait to sit around, talk and drink lots of wine with these girls this weekend!

New Favorites

I have some new favorite things I want to share with you friends. I love reading blogs about other peoples favorite things so here are some of mine as of late.....

LOVE the smell if this coconut lotion, love love love!!!

For my birthday, my sweet friend Camille got me some of this Kiehl's soy milk and honey whipped body butter and it's freaking fabulous! A nice subtle smell and your skin feels fab!
Obsessed with these treats from trader joes, they come in small bags are pretty lo-cal, a great snack if you want some chocolate. I have tried all 3 and I couldn't pick a favorite if I had to, love them all too much!
Pop Chips, a delicious salty snack and only 100 calories in a small bag! I love the Sea salt flavor the best!

HAWAII

What a wonderful week we had on Vacation. My parents invited us to stay with them at a townhouse in Kona and it was lovely. We snorkeled, hiked, napped, read books, ate too much, drank, played, explored and just enjoyed being together as a family. I was SOOO sad to leave and not just because I had to come home to SNOW, but to leave my mom and step dad was really hard. They are wonderful people and I just really enjoy there company. And the live in TEXAS now, UGH!!! SO here are some pics....
Me and mom walking with Easton
Easton's first time in the pool, it was too cold for him and he was not impressed
Justin and Easton and this beautiful beach we found

Lots of naps were taken in the BOB
In front of a lava cave.
Dolphins at The Hilton, you can swim with them! We didn't do it but we will when Easton is older and wants to do it
This kid loves to wear sunglasses!
Short Ribs at Roy's. I love food pictures!

 Surf and turf
 The boys at the pool
The snorkeling was pretty awesome, we saw turtles!!! I'll post some videos Justin took with his new waterproof digital camera. The gear he got us was great, so nice having your own snorkel gear!
Best Grandparents (and parents) they love Easton and us so much! So thankful for them!
Just a great panoramic view shot
My mom with her Mai Tai and Grandson- her two favorite things! AMazing dinner we had at Merryman's
FINALLY a family photo I like!
The beach at the Farimont Orchid. Great place to stay I highly recommend it!
Snorkeling video- hard to tell but this turtle is about 3 feet tall

Lastly, Easton was awesome on the plane! Barely made a peep, nothing breastfeeding couldn't solve very fast! I don't know how moms who dont' nurse do it!

5 months Pictures

I took them this morning!

Finally a picture where you can see the dimple in his right cheek!

4 sleeps until....

HAWAII!

I woke up today to about an inch of snow and a winter wonderland...I love snow in December, but on March 1st?!?!? NO thank you!

4 sleeps til we are Hawaii bound for some of this
I already started packing. Packing for a baby is No joke! My hubs already thinks I will pack too much and I already feel like I will forget something crucial. Justin got us our own snorkeling gear since every time we go we use rented gear and it's always crappy, plus gross to think about how many people have put their mouth on those things! I have no delusions that this vacation will be very different than other vacations, Easton likes to go to bed early and needs lots of naps so this should be interesting....luckily my parents will be there and love him more than anyone and are dying to babysit :-)
