Daily Activities

What do we do during the day you ask? Let me tell ya, lots of stuff! I have friends come visit at least a few times a week- which is so nice that friends will come to me instead of going out....makes it so much easier with the on demand breast feeding! But I like to get out too sometimes, just finding the right balance is good.
But I am going out to lunch today and tomorrow with friends so I am hoping he sleeps and it goes well, fingers crossed! So here's some things we do:
Lots of grocery shopping trips

Lots of walking either at the mall if its raining or outsite if its not!

Bath time (not everday) but every few days

Play time on the gym- this is how I get time to eat breakfast, make coffee and write this blog post! (this is an old pic, he's so much bigger now)

And even though hes too small for it we put him in the bumbo, he loves sitting up and it helps work his neck muscles...even though he turns his head to the side and I usually assist him and dont leave him alone like in this pic. He lasts about 5 minutes them gets pissed, ha!

And lately we spend some time smiling at eachother its my favorite time of the day!

And then there is some of this....I call him cranky franky or cranky pants McGee....

I try to stay busy but also have days like yesterday where we stay home and cuddle and Easton takes his afternoon nap on my chest, I love that!
I am thinking after the Holidays I will start music classes and baby boot camp so we will be busy which is good for us. I am able to workout now and the c-section pain is totally gone, so happy about that. Probably going to go to my gym and meet the daycare staff and if I'm comfortable with them start going there and few days a week as well.

1 Month

My sweet boy is 1 month already! What a great Month its been!
Overall he is a great baby, rarely cries, sleeps at least 5 hours at night and slept 6.5 last night- fed him then for 5 hours more! I woke up before him this morning and I didn't even know what to do with myself! He loves to eat and the breastfeeding is still going great. Here are a few more things about Mr. Easton:

Likes: My boobs, playing on your gym, playing with daddy, being rocked, snuggling on my chest, going on walks, tummy time, sleeping in the rock and play sleeper (best thing ever!) next to my bed, sitting up, the Ergo (glad we got this and the Bjorn- he hates the Bjorn right now and loves the Ergo!), being tickled, taking baths

Dislikes: Being hungry or too tired, Vitamin D drops, hiccups, being swaddled, sleeping in his crib, the Bjorn

LOVE!

So Justin went dirt bike riding today and left his phone here so I texted his friend to let him know and I looked at the pictures he had in his phone. I came across this one which I have never seen! Its from the hospital and I was sleeping with Easton on my chest, I thought it was so sweet he had this!
I went with my dear friend Lisa and her adorable kids to the pumpkin patch the other day and she snapped this darling photo of my sleeping baby!
Justin rides a KTM dirt bike so he bought this KTM onesie for Easton to wear that matched his bike, ha! And he has already sat him on his bike!

He was kinda pissed but one day I am sure he will be riding with his daddy!

Easton's Photo Shoot

I wanted to find an amazing photographer to capture some shots of Eaton as a newborn and a girl I went to High School with had the most amazing Newborn photos I have ever seen of her daughter so I asked her for a referral and she told me about her photographer. I contacted her 2 months before my due date to book her because she is always so busy and luckily I got in! She came over when Easton was 8 days old and did a photo shoot for us! She was here for 5 hours because Easton just wanted to be awake and eat... but she was so patient and she said don't worry I'll stay until we get these done! We cranked the heat up in my house to an unbearable level and she had a heater on him and then he just passed out and we were able to position him in all these cute poses..... I highly recommend her! It was pricey but you get what you pay for! Here is her website:   http://erintolephotography.com/  and here are some of my fav pictures- we got 30 shots too! Now how do I choose what to frame, I love them all!!
I love these lips, I kiss them multiple times a day!

This football hat I bought off of etsy- I loved it!
This camo hat was made for us by a friend... all the rest of the hats were the photographers

 To die for.....

I think I'll frame this one and put it in our bedroom, I love the colors

Things I love about Easton...so far

This little guy has captured my heart in every way!

Here are some things I love about him:
1. Sometimes the only thing that can calm him down is laying on my chest with his head tucked under my neck. I could lay like this for hours if I didn't have to pee so much :-)
2. The sweet little sounds he makes when he sleeps, I think he's having baby dreams and I'd love to know what he is dreaming of!
3. How much he loves his little play gym, he kicks and moves his arms so much I swear he is having the time of his life!
4. How he will let me read him books and really actually stays pretty still!
5. How he sleeps for 4 hours then 3 more and 3 more after that during the night, THANK GOD! I actually feel like I am getting enough sleep he must have known that his mommy is a sleeper and needs 8-9 hours.
6. When he does tummy time on his dads chest he really pushes himself up and does this fake cry/frustration scream its the cutest damn noise I've ever heard!
7. His Navy blue eyes that stare so intently at me
8. The dimple in his right cheek (no dimple in the left!)
9. How you let us dress you up and seem to be fine with it, no more crying during this process like there was in the 1st week of your life.
10. How much you clearly love me since I am the one you stop crying for! (and not just because I am the food I hope!)

1 year anniversary!

Today is Justin and I 1 year anniversary! We have so much to celebrate and be thankful for! The main thing is this little guy:
We are probably just going to hang at home with our baby, I have no desire to go out! We decided we are  going to have so many anniversary's to be able to go out and do stuff and we are both totally content staying home this year.

I can't believe where life was 1 year ago compared to today....My dad was in his last days of his life (he died 6 days later) and he legally married us at my house.

Miss you dad! But I know how happy your would be to know that 1 year later we now have a little boy named after you!

Welcome to the World Easton Patrick Bors

What a week! Easton arrived via scheduled c-section on Friday September 30th and 2:27 pm. 9lbs 6oz and 21 inches long. He is perfect in every way! It truly was the best moment in my life when I first saw him and heard him cry. It was worth every moment of suffering through pregnancy. I can't wait to do it again! It amazes me how much I love him, its a love I have NEVER felt before. Like I keep saying to my husband, its the BEST thing that has ever happened to me! Here are some pics from his first day:

 First time on the swing

 First trip to Starbucks:

 First walk a the Park:

We havent' done too much this first week- well I was in the hospital til Monday- but I would be happy to just stay at home and stare at him to be honest! We headed to his 5 day check up, went on a few walks, took him to Starbucks and other than that we have just been home and enjoying him. My mom is here and she's been making us awesome meals and helping out around the house. Justin has the week off and its so awesome to have him home, I will be so sad to see him go to work. We have had quite a few visitors but trying not to have too many so I can recover and hold my baby as much as possible! Breast feeding is going awesome! My milk came in on day 4 (after some pumping to get it going) and he is a great eater, and I absolutely love nursing him! Its amazing bonding time and its been really easy for me. Okay gotta go snuggle with the baby, that's all I got for now!
