Amazing Wedding!

My sweet friend Emily got married Saturday night at the Sunriver Resort in Central Oregon. I met Emily through Fay, she is part of a group of girls we call the Oregon DG girls. We have a fun group of Portland girls that consists of pi phis from WSU and DG's from Oregon and we have had many fun times in Portland and on trip over the past 10 years. I love these ladies!

So I left Easton for the first time overnight and it went great! My mom adores him and they had a ton of fun playing, going on walks and cuddling and knowing he was in the best of care made it easy for me. I did miss him though and since I spend all my time with him it did feel weird to be away but it was just over 24 hours so I was fine! And yes I did cry on the way to drop him off!

It was 90+ degrees on Saturday in Sunriver, made for a super HOT wedding! We were right in the sun during the ceremony but it wasn't too long and then we headed to the shade and inside to start celebrating. It was an unbelievably beautiful wedding and I am so glad I make the trip. Congrats to Emily and James Fellman and your amazing life together!

9 months

Oh Easton, 9 months already and you are so much fun!!!! You are on the verge of crawling but not there yet... I am so excited and so not excited at the same time for you to crawl. You are so curious and have to grab and touch everything. You now sleep on your stomach, and you are sleeping so well! From 7pm- 4:45am like clockwork, I nurse you and you go back down til 6 or 7am. You have turned mommy into a real morning person, I never thought that could happen!

You love to smile, laugh and you spend so much time in johnny jump ups and jumperoo you are the true definition of a bouncing baby boy! You are learning to share things and like to hand people (especially our dog) your toys! I'm' pretty sure you love country music as much as mommy and love to have dance parties in the kitchen!
You are so in love with your daddy, you like to imitate everything he says and does. Although you still have yet to say 'mommy' grrr!!!
You understand 'No' and sometimes it makes you sad and scared but I stick to it and you seem to be understanding some boundaries.
Stats:
18 lbs 13oz 40th percentile
 28 3/4 inches tall 70th percentile
Head circumference 90th percentile
And 100th percentile in cuteness :-)

Grabbing my camera strap while taking pictures, that is so you!

You look like such a big boy here!
You are such a sweet happy boy, you make being a parent a DREAM for us and we couldn't love you more if we tried to! XOXO

Bridal Shower

And today my other step sister had a Bridal shower at her Aunt's house. (2 showers in a weekend is tiring!) Chrissy is my step dad's daughter and she's getting married in Maui in February but she lives in Florida so it's hard for her to get back here often so that's why the shower was kinda early.

Easton thought the party was kinda a bore so he just chilled out and read his book :-)

 There's that smile!

Easton and I with the beautiful bride to be
Chrissy with the Hostess- her Aunt Chris (whom she is also named after)

Chrissy and Jason monogrammed napkins- so sweet!

Such a fun weekend, a shower for both my step sisters (one from my mom's side and one from my dad's side). I love them both with all my heart and am so excited for both of them and there new adventures in life!

Baby Shower

Yesterday Easton tunred 9 months (that post coming soon) and I threw my sweet step sister Alex a Dr. Seuss themed baby shower. She is due August 31st with a boy she is naming Keaton. I'm so excited that Easton will have a cousin to play with and grow up with!

I made a wine spritzer I saw on pinterest- berries in a pitcher with white wine and fresca, it was delish!

Alex with her Aunt Carol  and Uncle Mike. Carol is her mom's sister and basically her mom now since we lost Alex's mom (my step mom) to caner in 2008.
Such a pretty pregnant gal, I love her!
Easton loved the balloons! My mom took care of Easton during the shower so I could be the hostess with the mostess!

Alex and her bff Autumn, friends since elementary school,  is due 2 days before Alex with a little girl!
My sis took this awesome photo of Easton, can't get enough of those big eyes and big lips!
 Me and Alex
You know, its never fun to have your parents get divorced but I don't remember it much since I was 5....but the fact I have 2 step sisters and a step brother that are amazing and I love with all my heart and can't imagine life without them makes the fact your parents split quite a bit easier. Bonus to have an awesome step dad too, who no doubt has stepped up since I lost my dad too has made that transition way easier! Lemonade from Lemons people, it happens!
And we are a very modern family because my mom and Eric invite Travis and Alex (my step siblings from the other side) over for Christmas and holidays! I LOVE IT!

Walker

My mom shipped this walker to our house to keep at her house (she doesn't live here permanently) for when she watches Easton. Little does she know I am keeping it because he LOVES this thing! He has only figured out how to move backwards so far but we'll get there!

THANK YOU MOM, you always seem to know just what we need! You are THE BEST Grandma ever!

Crescent Bar

My dear friend Lexy who I have known since College (We are both pi phis) invited me, Easton and our friend Gretchen to come visit her at her vacation home in Central Washington. Since we are both SAHM's I figured we'd go during the week so we wouldn't miss too much daddy time. So we ended up flying up there on this small airline Seaport airlines. I'm so glad because a 6 hr drive with Easton wouldn't be fun for either of us! Super quick flight to Wenatchee and Lexy was just a 20 min drive from the airport. So we spent 3 days there, lounging, drinking, eating, playing, talking and just relaxing! My whole day there was Tuesday and the weather was rainy that day but it really didn't matter because it was just about being with great friends and hanging out.

The view from her deck of the Columbia River
We 'may or may not' have put Easton in a big box to play.....
Starting to move (not necessarily crawl) and get into whatever he can!
Lexy's sweet daughter Hayden was really great with Easton. We thought even though she's only 5 maybe she can babysit and we'd head to the bars! (kidding!)
THANK YOU so much Lexy for inviting us and all your cooking, cleaning and generosity, you are an amazing woman, mom and friend and I love you!
