3 months

Easton is officially 3 months today! Happy 3-month little buddy. He is now wearing 6 month sleepers, but still in mostly 3 months outfits, or 3-6 month clothes. He seems to have a long torso and short legs, maybe like his daddy?!?! He is now in size 2 diapers and has a little craddle cap which I will be using Mustela foam shampoo on tonight, I hear this gets rid of it!

Likes: He still loves his gym, those things are so awesome! He loves to cuddle but also likes to be independent and be by himself a bit (gee I wonder where he gets that?!?!) He likes when I read him books and when I give him massages, and I think he kida likes my singing but I wouldnt say he loves it and I dont blame him! He loves sitting up and now if you prop him up (on a pillow or something) he tries to sit up- but then fails and rolls to his side. He is rolling to his side on occasion usually just to see the TV, which bring me to his next Like. The TV, the kid loves watching it! I try to not have it on during the day though. He loves to play with his moose, his wubbanub and Sophie. He now is grabbing things and bringing everything to his mouth! He is loving sucking on his hand and the fact he can bring his hand to his face now. He also loves when you talk to him and smile at him, he tries to talk back and will smile and coo for countless hours, so sweet! I am trying to put him in the Bjorn and Ergo at least daily because he usually hates it but he's getting better and he loves to stare at himself in the mirror, he smiles at himself...he must think he's pretty cute!

Dislikes: When he's alseep and you move him (like he falls asleep nursing and I have to set him down to pee) He's got this cute pissed off whine, I think its hilarious! He HATES when I pick his nose or whipe it or just touch it in general! He use to love baths but now seems to be kinda annoyed with them and I think he gets cold. Other than that there isn't much he doesn't like. He's just pretty chill (unless hungry or tired, but who doesn't get pissed when they are either of those  :-) )

Bedtime continues to get easier, most of the time now we try to put him down at 8:30, I usually nurse him to sleep and start at about 8. He's so easy to put to sleep, most nights he falls asleep nursing and then I just lay him down and he's out! He sleeps at least 8 hours then I feed him and then a few more.
He got many toys for Chrsitmas so I am starting to try to play with him and get him excited about those.
He continues to be an easy baby and we love him to pieces. He makes me happy everyday and I can't imagine life with out him!

Great 1st Christmas

We had such a wonderful Christmas! I totally have the post Christmas blues....that also consist of not wanting to put my house back together and being in denial that I have to put all these Christmas decorations away! My house seems so bare after I put it all away it makes me sad...And then the after Holiday/get my body back dieting starts. Ugh. But I will say Santa was good to me this year!

I got an ipad 2 so my mom and I can facetime and she will be able to see Easton better, it'll be so much fun for both of us!

Cusinart Hand blender- I love making soups and am excited to use this!

Burberry Brit- a light and refreshing scent
Hubs got me this necklace- it has Easton's birth stone (Sapphire) and his name and birthday on it, I love it!
It's so random but I have been wanting a globe for years (because I dont' know where anything is, ha!), and I got one! It lights up and I have the perfect spot for it in my dining room- just need to find a table for it
 Mumm Champagne, yes please!
 A day at the Spa.....
Ugg sweater boots, so cozy and warm!
Stemless wine glasses that are hand painted with Christmasy things (and dishwasher safe!)
My sister got us all these gift cards for restaurants- which is so awesome and will encourage date nights! And so many stocking stuffer things, just too much to list!

And Easton was so spoiled! He got so many toys, clothes and things. He is all set! I can't wait for next Christmas when he actually kinda knows whats going on and can play with things! I picture him just running around and having such a great time with everyone!

Christmas Time!

I am so ready for the family fun to start!  My mom and step dad are on there way up here as I write this! Tomorrow night we have dinner with Justin's family, Saturday (xmas eve) I have lots of family coming over to my house and Christmas day we go to my sisters and then my Aunt's later in the day.

My menu for Christmas Eve dinner:
Apps's- crab artichoke dip(I make this and serve it hot with bread- so effin good!) dates stuffed with almonds and wrapped in bacon (this recipe is from the cook on RHW of Beverly Hills!) and cheese, sausage, crackers and pepper jelly (that my aunt made!)
Dinner- Smoked Glazed Ham, scalloped potatoes (my mom is making), Vegis, salad (Gorgonzola, pear and candies walnuts-so good!) and rolls for my carb lover husband!
Dessert- I will put out my fudge I made as well as my butterscotch drops and snickerdoodles. My mom has something she wants to make too!
DRINKS-Cranpagne's all they way!!! (Cranberry and Champagne- very festive and delish!) Throw in a few real cranberries for looks!

Some pics from our week...we have been shopping, baking, walking (beautiful sunny days-can't believe its December!) and had a few playdates

Such a smiler lately- so hard to capture it though with my shitty camera or shitty camer phone!

He's really starting to play with toys and of course just tries to put everything in his mouth!
He's such a chill little dude!
I love those cheeks! Cannot kiss them enough!
 Smiles on the play gym!
Christmas is still hard because I miss my Dad SO much! I think about him multiple times a day as it is and during this time its even more. I wish he would have been able to meet Easton, he would've had the hugest smile on his face watching him smile and giggle!

I love Christmas and all that is stands for. We always had the best time around the Holidays growing up. I love seeing people and spending lots of time with family and friends and giving gifts. Although to me its more about just seeing people than the gifts.....however the other night a HUGE box appeared under the tree that says "To:mommy From:Easton".......dying to know whats inside!

Merry Christmas!

Family Rules

I SO want this in my house!!!!

Holiday Baking Favorites!

I love to bake this time of year and take goodies to friends houses! Here are my favorites.....
Fudge- I always make the fantasy fudge- the recipe is on the back of a jar of marshmallow creme, its way better to use bakers semi sweet chocolate than chocolate chips!- NO nuts for me though!
Banana Bread! I love the classic recipe is my Pillsbury cookbook

Peanut butter blossoms- easy and a total crowd pleaser!
Butterscotch Drops- best salty and sweet thing on the planet! All you do is melt 2 bags of butterscotch chips on low-medium heat, after they are melted you throw in a can of cocktail peanuts and 4-5 cups of cornflakes. Drop on wax paper in spoonfuls and let cool. THESE ARE FRIGGIN DELICIOUS!
Gingersnaps! I hate cooking with molasses- its so annoying but so worth it when you taste one of these!
I made these for the first time this year- I just made the cookie recipe on the back of chocolate chips but added Holidays M&M's instead. They turned out great!
 Snickerdoodles, a Holiday Classic!
And I love to Listen to Alabama Christmas CD while Baking! My all time favorite Holiday CD!

Amazing Golf courses (where my parents will be EVERY day!)

 Townhouses we are staying in
 I plan on getting pampered!

Waterfall hikes! I need to get Easton to start liking the front pack!
This is the spa.... I'm dying of excitement!
