Baby Shower

Yesterday Easton tunred 9 months (that post coming soon) and I threw my sweet step sister Alex a Dr. Seuss themed baby shower. She is due August 31st with a boy she is naming Keaton. I'm so excited that Easton will have a cousin to play with and grow up with!

I made a wine spritzer I saw on pinterest- berries in a pitcher with white wine and fresca, it was delish!

Alex with her Aunt Carol  and Uncle Mike. Carol is her mom's sister and basically her mom now since we lost Alex's mom (my step mom) to caner in 2008.
Such a pretty pregnant gal, I love her!
Easton loved the balloons! My mom took care of Easton during the shower so I could be the hostess with the mostess!

Alex and her bff Autumn, friends since elementary school,  is due 2 days before Alex with a little girl!
My sis took this awesome photo of Easton, can't get enough of those big eyes and big lips!
 Me and Alex
You know, its never fun to have your parents get divorced but I don't remember it much since I was 5....but the fact I have 2 step sisters and a step brother that are amazing and I love with all my heart and can't imagine life without them makes the fact your parents split quite a bit easier. Bonus to have an awesome step dad too, who no doubt has stepped up since I lost my dad too has made that transition way easier! Lemonade from Lemons people, it happens!
And we are a very modern family because my mom and Eric invite Travis and Alex (my step siblings from the other side) over for Christmas and holidays! I LOVE IT!

Walker

My mom shipped this walker to our house to keep at her house (she doesn't live here permanently) for when she watches Easton. Little does she know I am keeping it because he LOVES this thing! He has only figured out how to move backwards so far but we'll get there!

THANK YOU MOM, you always seem to know just what we need! You are THE BEST Grandma ever!

Crescent Bar

My dear friend Lexy who I have known since College (We are both pi phis) invited me, Easton and our friend Gretchen to come visit her at her vacation home in Central Washington. Since we are both SAHM's I figured we'd go during the week so we wouldn't miss too much daddy time. So we ended up flying up there on this small airline Seaport airlines. I'm so glad because a 6 hr drive with Easton wouldn't be fun for either of us! Super quick flight to Wenatchee and Lexy was just a 20 min drive from the airport. So we spent 3 days there, lounging, drinking, eating, playing, talking and just relaxing! My whole day there was Tuesday and the weather was rainy that day but it really didn't matter because it was just about being with great friends and hanging out.

The view from her deck of the Columbia River
We 'may or may not' have put Easton in a big box to play.....
Starting to move (not necessarily crawl) and get into whatever he can!
Lexy's sweet daughter Hayden was really great with Easton. We thought even though she's only 5 maybe she can babysit and we'd head to the bars! (kidding!)
THANK YOU so much Lexy for inviting us and all your cooking, cleaning and generosity, you are an amazing woman, mom and friend and I love you!

34

Justin turned 34 yesterday and so we got home from the beach in the afternoon and I made him his favorite dinner and an apple crisp for dessert (he doesn't like cake, can you imagine?!??!) We had such a great 3 days together as a family hanging out, not watching TV and just relaxing.

Happy Birthday to my sweet, caring, hilarious husband. You are not only a great man, a great provider and protector of us but you are an amazing father and a loving and compassionate husband. My soul mate, my best friend I love you to the moon and back!

Easton liked the candles of course

I make a great apples crisp but I wasn't sure when we'd get home from the beach how much time I'd have etc so I bought this boxed one because I just wanted it to be EASY! It was actually really good, I added oatmeal the the crisp part because I like lots of Oatmeal in mine, and put a scoop of vanilla ice cream on it, super delish!

Backpack thingy

I have been wanting on of these backpacks for Easton because he's getting too big for the Ergo and Bjorn (Plus it hurts my back) but I didn't want to spend $200+ for the REI ones, its not like we are hard core hikers, ya know? So I saw in the babies r us magazine that Chicco makes ones and with my babies r us bucks and 20% off coupon it was only $60, score! Easton loved it and we loved it! Super comfy and easy to wear/use etc. I highly recommend this product!

And it has this clear plastic shield that goes over his face, it was perfect because it started raining and we could cover him up!

Cannon Beach

We had a wonderful weekend in Cannon beach celebrating fathers day and Justin's Birthday. We played in the sand and ocean lots, shopped, ate, day drank while the baby napped (so fun)! We stayed at the Hallmark resort, and it is right on front of haystack rock, you can walk to town, it allows dogs and we had a covered patio looking out at the ocean so when Easton was sleeping we could hang out there. It was PERFECT!
My instangram photos- I am obsessed with instagram now, its so fun!!!
Easton eating Sand! I kept telling him no but he was persistent so he tasted it and did not want anymore.

 Sunburn!
This is what a 8 month old does with the sand shovel and pail!

Standing on our deck looking at the views...

We cant go to the beach without Mackie, he loves the water, sand, waves and especially the cool temps. Although it was pretty warm!
First sunburn, I feel terrible! It was overcast but it still got him. Just his nose and cheeks a little pink nothing too bad but I still feel like a bad mom :-(
This was the cutest candy store, I had to take some pics!
 YUM!

Pinterest is taking over, signs were everywhere!
Coug representation! It's rare to see this in Oregon!
Cute "name trains"! I am wishing I would've bought this now! I think I might order it online! Would be a super cute gift too!
Super cute cafe we had breakfast at, very delicious, thanks for the rec Prita!
The lazy susan cafe- its in a little house, very cute and small! fresh out of the oven scones, muffin, yum!
We stopped for wine tasting but got denies because we couldn't go upstairs with Eason!
Pretty hanging baskets line the street
I like the 3 sign cluster of these.....
Love this tall wine bottle, wish I had a wine cellar to put it in! Someday....
 Haystack rock
Cannon beach is the cutest beach town I have ever been to! Look at this cute sign for the library- love it!
Bench outside the library, so darling!
