WORK....

I resigned! My last day of work is July 29th! I will have 2 months (give or take) until baby Easton arrives and I am so happy about that. Let me explain.... my job is outside sales, I run around Portland and walk properties, go into garbage enclosures and crawl up drop boxes etc... doing this is pretty physical and doing this in our hottest 2 months (August and September) 8 and 9 months prego would just be unbearable. Trust me if I had an office job I would work longer but that is simply not the case. Plus since I am planning staying at home with Easton I just feel like I didn't want to leave my work hanging so I just told them Friday!

This is so exciting and so crazy! I have never not worked and I have supported myself for the past 10 years so this is a huge change for me. I look at is as more of a career change though because I understand being a stay at home mom is tough... so I have no delusions that I will be shopping, spa-ing and relaxing all day. Can't wait to see what the future holds for me!

Vacation Week

I have had the last 9 days off which was so nice and relaxing! No phone ringing all day, no emails constantly buzzing no rude customers to deal with, I loved it! Justin had a hunting trip planned so I took the week and drove down to my mom's in Sacramento with my dog and relaxed. We got massages, facials, did Pilate's, went on walks, ate good food and I slept a lot. I loved every second of it! I truly enjoy my mom's company and so that made it even more special! But coming home to my man was amazing too, we really miss each other when we have time apart....

The baby kicks are getting stronger although I haven't felt it with my hand yet, I am hoping in the next few weeks I will! I am getting bigger too that's for sure, I need to take a pic and post it on here of my belly!

We decided on a name ...... Easton Patrick. We just love the name Easton, its different but not weird different and Patrick was my dads name so that was a no brainer. So I love calling him by name now it makes it even more real that there is a human being in there rather than a little being who sucks all my energy and makes me toss and turn all night (along with other symptoms). My mom and sister have seriously bought this boy enough clothes for his first full year its really sweet. I have 2 showers coming up and I can only imagine how many clothes I will get! We ordered our furniture for his room yesterday and I can't wait for that to come so I can start putting things together!

Justin had a successful hunting trip, he shot a black bear! He is so excited, and yes we are getting a bear rug for our house (or garage) and it will take 9-12 months to get here (thank God) so I have some time to digest the fact that this rug is going to be in my house.....

The Good Wife

If you aren't watching this show you are missing out! Julianna Margulies plays Alicia Florrick the wife of a scandalous politician (played by Mr. Big) who had multiple affairs with prostitutes (sound familiar??) and she stands by him.... She is like an ice cold stepford wife yet she makes you love her, feel bad for her and cheer for her! And I kinda hate her husband which for any Sex and the City fan like myself is hard to do but the writing on this show is so amazing you really do!

She's now a practicing attorney after not working for years, raising their kids and supporting her husbands career......enter Her boss and former crush from law school (see below) Will...He is such a hottie and in last nights season finale they finally hook up! It was awesome! Don't worry her and her husband are separated- The good Wife would never cheat!

Every episode has a courtroom case and the entire supporting cast is so great, it's one of the best Drama's I've ever seen!

A few of my favorite things (this week)

I seem to want sweets everyday but am trying to watch how much I have and discovered these skinny cow CARAMEL TRUFFLE bars and they are irresistible! Now I don't really care for truffles and caramel isn't my fav but these are amazing!
Okay I read these books years ago but LOVED them and was so happy to hear they are making a movie so I went and saw Something Borrowed and its awesome! Total rom-com and I am glad I read the book first because it made me love the movie that much more. The cast was so awesome too- I love Kate Hudson and Ginnifer Goodwin! Read these books and go see the movie!
The second book is Something Blue- it has the same characters in it and you kinda miss them when the first book is over so you'll be glad there is a second.
So its officially flip flop/sandal season for me and I am loving it! I have been living in these Tory Burch Sandals
And for more casual she has the CUTEST flip flops with these designs I have red ones like these- but mine have some purple on them too
And I have some cute wedges but I'm going to stick with mainly flats so I am thinking these will be my next purchase
I had another ultrasound today to get the pics of the spine and bladder the other gal couldn't get 2 weeks ago and it was so fun to see our little guy! He is definitely my most favorite thing of this week!

So damn cute!

Okay I know Justin is excited to be having a boy and all but he is being so cute. He went online (because he does NOT go shopping at stores!) and bought his favorite shoes and clothes in baby sizes for his son and surprised me with all of it.

Here are the shoes, to see these in a baby size really melts my heart!

And then he got come carhartt gear and what little toddler doesn't need a camo outfit ?!?!

I think if I try to dress our son in plaid or argyle Justin will have a heart attack!

Speaking of baby.... I'm 20 weeks today! Baby is the size of a cantaloupe (and is it weird I am craving cantaloupe this week and ate an entire one in 2 days??) Yes, I am sure it is weird.

Baby Boy Nursery

Let the shopping begin!!! Or should I say picking out bedding...my sister, mom and mother in law sure have been shopping already- I have some baby stuff now! This is good since up until last week I only had a few books and a diaper bag! Here is the bedding I want for the nursery:
I love the Navy blue stripes- then I can switch up the sheets with stars, polka dots and the cute whales (Justin likes the whales) And I want to accent everything with sports stuff like in the picture:
I love the stars on the wall and the sports mobile! I have my eye on some shelves from ikea that I will put sports stuff, books and toys on! Its hard to not just go buy everything and start but we are going to ease into it (thank God for Justin slowing me down!)

Okay so I personally don't really count yesterday as my first mother's day...I haven't given birth, had sleepless night or been peed on but it was really sweet to get happy Mothers day wishes from people, crazy to think how different Mother's day 2012 will be!

Baby Bors is a BOY!

Yesterday was truly one of the best days of my life! I chose to have the appointment at the end of the day so Justin and I could celebrate after and not just have to go to work.....  While it was hard waiting all day it was well worth it!

The moment she told us it was a boy I was so overwhelmed with emotion I got tears in my eyes! It just has to be hands down one of the coolest things that can happen in life- until we meet him that is! I've never seen a bigger smile on Justin's face and the ultrasound was about 45 mins so it was fun to see our little guy just move around. The funny thing is I thought FOR SURE it was a Girl! I'm not kidding I had a girl name picked out even!

Justin and I went to dinner and celebrated and then did a little baby shopping- I have been dying to buy some clothes for my little one!
Our little guy was laying on his back so she could never get the shot of his spine she needed so I get to go back next week for another ultrasound so she can get it, which I am more than happy about because its so fun watching the baby!
